Acknowledging the birth of a royal bastard

Legend has it that, after he had won the revolutionary war, George Washington was offered the title of King. As the legend goes, he declined the offer, Instead he embraced Natural Law and the governance doctrine of "Consent of the Governed". These were ideas that had been cultivated and matured during The Enlightenment (1650AD - 1800AD).

A few days ago, a child was born that may one day be King of England. This child was born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. (Common American Citizens better know these two as Prince William (Wales) and his wife Kate Middleton (Wales). Before this writer treads further, be assured that this writer wishes the new born and his parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate, enjoy all the Natural Rights to happiness which any human being is entitled. Further, this writer congratulates Prince William and Duchess Kate and acknowledges the adulation and excitement that this birth has caused among the subjects of England. However, in short order, this writer will reveal the nature of his angst and explain the title of this article.

Yesterday, this writer listened with somberness as many American citizens and the American major media seemed elated and carried away by the birth of this new prince. As this writer listened to one broadcast in Minnesota, the radio personality encouraged listeners to call in and explain why they were so excited and enthralled by the birth of Prince Williams and Duchess Kate's new royal in another nation. And the overwhelming number of responses were from girls and women of all ages. Now, this writer can understand young folks, under 25, being enamored with the romanticized notion of royalty that they were indoctrinated with in public school, and by Hollywood movies and the major media. However, there were many middle aged women who called in to explain why they were enthralled with the birth of a new royal in another nation. The main theme of all of these folks being....
